hive room 2

Whiteways’ Hive provision base caters for ten of our thirty pupils. There are currently children from Y1 to Y6 on this site. Children are supported to access mainstream learning alongside adults from the base where appropriate. The amount of time spent in mainstream for each child is planned on an individual basis using the child’s strengths as a driver. Whiteways has the benefit of two separate sensory rooms – one incorporated within the main provision base as well as a soft play sensory room located opposite the main teaching space. The children in the Hive use an outside play space which can be accessed from the nearest outside exit.
